Safety for guests, invisible in the space
Hotels, restaurants and event venues host many people who do not know the building. Passive fire protection is not visible, but it limits the spread of fire and smoke and keeps the escape routes open.

Smoke extraction
Smoke is the main danger. Fire-rated ducts remove it even during an intense fire.
Fire compartments
Fire-rated walls, ceilings and floors keep the fire away from neighbouring rooms.
Sealing and structure
Every penetration is sealed and the frame is protected from collapse.
What we look at in a hotel
Corridors and stairwells as escape routes, service shafts that connect floors, kitchens with exhaust ducts, basements and plant rooms. Maintenance works often open new holes in fire-rated walls, so the sealing has to be checked after every intervention.
